Wedding days can be stressful but as a professional makeup artist it is my responsibility to make you happy and relaxed and ensure that you look and feel beautiful on your wedding day!
Before your big day I recommend a makeup consultation so we can work together to discuss and trial various ideas to create your perfect look to be recreated on your wedding day.
The trial is usually conducted at my studio in South East London and on your special day I will travel to the venue of your choice!
I am a freelance hair and makeup artist based in South East London. I trained at The London School of Beauty and Makeup where I covered all aspects of makeup and gained an IMA Diploma in Fashion, Photographic, Film and TV makeup.
I use an extensive range of high quality makeup brands such as MAC, Bobbi Brown, Giorgio Armani, New CID Cosmetics, Laura Mercier and NARS. I have also trained in Airbase HD airbrush makeup which is ideal for flawless skin in front of the camera. My work includes clients such as Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model, QVC UK and Europe, Woman magazine, Easy Living magazine and Daytime TV personalities.
I have a passion for makeup and find great satisfaction in helping women develop their skills of makeup application so when they discover how to achieve this they feel uplifted and filled with confidence!

Hair up or down - that is the question?

Hair up or down - that is the question?

You Wedding day is one of the most important days of your lives, and you want to look more perfect than you ever have. There are going to be several factors as to how you decide to have your hair.
1. How do you usually wear it? This is one of the biggest factors for me. I often ask this in regards to people's make up. On your Wedding day you want to look like a better version of yourself, not someone completely different who your husband to be doesn't even recognize! So, if you are someone who has their hair down all the time, then my bets would be to have your hair down for the day, or compromise with a half up half down style. If you are someone who always has their hair up then again, the same applies.
2. Your face shape and structure. If you have strong features such as a strong jaw line, then your hair down may create a softer structure to your face. However, if your face is slightly longer then adding more volume, rather than it being sleek and straight will compliment your face shape more. If your face is round and petite, and up do may suit you better as this will add height and define your features. Obviously, these are general rules so experiment yourself or with your hairdresser to find a look that suits you best.
3. Your dress. If your dress has a high neck line or is a halter neck, I often find that an up-do compliments this dress. This allows attention to be drawn to that part of the dress, whilst having your hair down may create too much of a 'busy' look around your neckline. Also, if your dress is backless an up-do allows your back to look longer and leaner adding making your back look even more gorgeous
4. Be comfortable. It is so important for you to feel 100% comfortable and confident on your wedding day. You hair needs to last all day and all night, and if it is the winter and you suspect that it may be windy that day, then an up do may be a better option.
5 Experiment, experiment, experiment!
