If You Can Tell Me How Many Times I Said The Word "Love" You Might Just Be The Bride For Me!Today we’ll be talking about some easy, healthy steps you can take now for radiant beauty results by the time you walk down the aisle. You might already practice some of these great habits and others will fit seamlessly into your existing beauty routine (because they are things you already have at home!)
1. Drink more water- We hear this all the time, right? For several reasons it is to our benefits to drink water through out the day. Water flushes out toxins by purifying the liver, it clears up skin, help organs absorb nutrients, and aids in metabolism. Win all around!
2. Take a daily multi-vitamin- First and foremost, the best thing you can do is have a healthy diet but with busy lives we know all too well that it’s not always easy to do so, thats where a multi-vitamin comes in. Look for one that has antioxidant powerhouses like vitamins B6, C, E, A as well as iron and Omega-3 fatty acids which help maintain skin’s suppleness and strengthen hair. All-in-one awesomeness!
3. Moisturize- Replace lost moisture and repair damaged hair with a weekly deep conditioning hair mask, whether homemade with coconut oil and avocado (apply 2 tbls coconut oil and 1/2 avocado, mashed, to dry hair and leave on for 20 min, then rinse) or store-bought like It’s a 10 miracle hair mask. Get those shiny locks you’ve always aimed for!
4. Repair- We all have those aspects about our skin that we want to change, right? Now is the time to make those changes happen and the fun part? Things in your pantry can help! Mix nutmeg (as an exfoliator) or baking soda for oily/acne prone skin with dairy milk (for the lactic acid which helps break down dead skin cells) until it forms a thick paste. Apply onto clean, dry skin and leave on for 20 minutes then rinse and pat dry. Ta-da, instant spa facial at home!Marchesa’s Fall 2012 show captured an angelic romance through the use of airy tulle, wispy feathers and a stunning beauty look. Gilded liner, fluttery lashes and a subtle coral stain in the center of lips complimented the model’s fresh dewy skin. One doesn’t automatically think elegance when it comes to cornrows but they were just that at this show. By keeping the hairline a bit untamed it created it sort of halo around the head that balanced out the severity of the structured braids in the back as well as the volume of most of the skirts in the collection.

We love this beauty look for Fall and Winter brides! The simple yet eye-catching gold eye liner speaks volumes on it’s own but paired with a bold coral lip, it’s memorable. The delicate silver brocade and shimmering gold lamè are the perfect holiday color palette with great texture provided by the right use of feathers and intricate design that would make a stunning bridal gown.
Have a beautiful Monday!

With the much anticipated Great Gatsby remake starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan set to debute this December, the 1920′s have majorly influenced the wedding industry this year. One of the most stunning features of this era is the beauty. The textures of finger waves, the sleekness of the bob and the richness of vampy lips are all staples of the roaring 20′s that are till making a statement in the present. Brides are drawn to this style because of it’s classic lines and colors and intense glamour. How stunning would this beauty look be for a bridal or boudoir session? Add a dose of decadence and to your lovely occasion with a little or a lot of this glorious style.
Today we’re bringing you some vintage with a touch of bohemian bridal inspiration courtesy of Kate Moss. She chose a 1920′s-inspired dress style designed for her by John Galliano complete with a beautiful cathedral veil.
The embellishments on this one-of-a-kind dress are exquisite! Shimmering gold sequins and rhinestones adorn the hem and vine their way towards the bodice where they disperse delicately onto the neckline.
Kate is known for her avant-garde looks in magazines but in real life she likes to keep her beauty regime simple. And her wedding day was no exception. Her 20′s-inspired dress complimented her bohemian beauty look so perfectly. Loose waves parted down the middle were left down to capture an airy, free spirited feel. Little more than a light copper shimmer on eyes and a flush of color on cheeks were added to create an almost hippie-like quality to her beauty look. Bridesmaids (all 15 of them!) wore their hair in the same style but theirs were adorned with white flower halos. So whimsical and light-hearted!
Tammy and her maids were such a joy to work with. We designed beauty looks for this pretty bridal party dressed in the softest of pinks that complimented the full Spring blooms they’d be holding. We set our eyes on a makeup palette of soft peach-y pinks, shimmering bronze and subtle champagne. Dark liner and full l ashes added the perfect amount of drama to off set the delicate textures through out the wedding.
For hair our team got to work on the bridesmaids long locks sweeping them up into textured updos some including french braiding, while tammy wore hers in gentle flowing waves accessorized with a simple silk flower. Photography by Kurt Boomer

This stunning wedding was from last Summer, thanks for sticking with us as we update all of the fabulous weddings we’ve had the pleasure of being a part of recently . Taryn & John’s wedding in Santa Monica had the great backdrop of a beautiful July day with blue skies. It was such a pleasure to work with Taryn and her bridal party, such a sweet group of girls!
Soft pastel makeup hues of rose and peach flattered Taryn’s skin tone and complimented her wedding color palette, not to mention the breath-taking florals!
Taryn’s elegant wedding couldn’t be complete with out the perfect touch of glamour for her and her girls. For hair she decided on a side bun with simple texture and side-swept bangs anchored by a jeweled hair pin. This hair style suits a formal occasion while still fitting for a photo session at the beach. Aren’t these photos by Erin Hearts Court simple gorgeous?
The styling and coordination was by Nancy from So Happi Together, she never fails to create a memorable event so perfectly suited to each couple.

This year we have done a lot of minimalist beauty looks for our 2012 brides. Minimal makeup in glowing, flesh-toned hues that bring out your best features are ideal for brides. This look is mostly about correcting, highlighting, and contouring the face as opposed to adding color and drama. This process sculpts the face and adds dimension.
Rosy, naturally flushed cheeks and lips combined with a subtle sheen on the high planes of the face and inner lids create stunning definition. This ingenue-inspired beauty look is perfect for all occasions leading up to and including the wedding, whether it be your engagement session, a boudoir shoot or day after shoot.

Married: Julianne & Jarod
Julianne and Jarod’s wedding has a modern feel with an elegant touch. Her style is classic and clean and totally romantic.
Her hair was styled into an off-center bun that had texture through out and a bit of volume on top. her side-swept bangs framed her face well creating softness. To top off this fab ‘do she chose a feathered hair piece with a bit of netting in place of a veil. Julianne’s makeup was shimmering and glistening in all the right places. It was all about the eyes for this modern bride, shimmer pigments illuminate the face and make eyes sparkle. Champagne, ivory, and taupe are classic colors that created a neutral makeup palette and backdrop for some seriously stunning, fluttering lashes. Lashes with extra volume and flare at the outer corners along with winged-out liner create a sexy sultry eye that brings all focus to the eyes. Julianne definitely had all eyes on her on her big day.
This whimsical engagement shoot complete with cute picnic and bicycle ride is courtesy of the talented Amelia Lyon and her dreamy photography.
Debbie wanted a soft ethereal beauty look that would suit her love-filled shoot. Her makeup consisted of soft peach with a hint of a natural rose flush. We designed a look that would flatter different outfit changes and hair styles that could be taked down to create a different feel. A beautiful side fishtail braid topped with a nature-inspired rosette halo was later taken down into loose, bouncy waves for a more casual look.
There is so much inspiration in this shoot for whether you’re planning your own engagement photo session or wedding. We love Debbie’s style sophisticated-yet-fun style of mixing prints and bold colors along with.
