The first wedding day in Pakistan is mostly termed as barat. On the occasion of barat usually traditional red dress is used by bride. These days other colors are also used on the occasion of Baarat. So the bridal makeup on first wedding day is done according to the shades and colors of the dress. I have displayed pictures of Pakistani bridal makeup in red color. Usually looks of makeup on first wedding day are heavy as compare to second wedding day.

With red bridal dresses these days eye makeup with combination of gold and copper with smokey touch is in. Never use red eye shadow if you are going to use red lipstick with your bridal dress. The three words that I would use to describe a beautiful bride are flawless, defined, and glowing. Often when I meet a bride-to-be for the first time, she says that she wants to look "natural" on her wedding day. But what she is really saying is that she wants to look like herself and not have her groom running away in fear. Let’s face it, we have all experienced a bad makeup job at least once, and your wedding day is not the time to feel bad about the way you look!

Here are some of the products that I use and love that have created the flawless, defined, and glowing brides that grace my website, that can be seen in my local wedding magazines, and most recently in The Knot Fall/Winter 2012 issue.

1. Apply Retexturizing Face Primer* after face moisturizer to prepare skin for foundation.

2. My “Flawless Skin” Foundation* has a soft-matte finish and is a buildable formula for light to medium coverage.

3. Use the Nars Multiple in a pink or peach shade after applying foundation and before applying face powder. Then apply a powder blush for maximum staying power.

4. The always popular, Urban Decay Naked Palette, is perfect for bridal eye makeup. It has all of the eyeshadow colors that you will need to create a defined eye with shimmering and matte shades.

A tip to reduce messing up your face makeup when applying shimmery eyeshadows is to place a tissue on the cheek, just under the bottom lash line, to catch any fall out.

5. Ardell Sexies Invisiband False Eyelashes, not every bride wants or needs false lashes, but if the bride is willing to go for it, it really takes the look up a notch!

6. L’ Oreal Voluminous Mascara Blackest Black in waterproof is a must!

7. I believe the choice between a lipstick or a lip gloss is a personal one. A lipstick is more high maintenance but sometimes the color payoff is worth it. For lipstick, apply then blot a few times until you get a good stain on your lips. Then apply lip liner and finally lipstick using a lip brush for a longer lasting lipstick application. If the bride chooses to go with a gloss, my new favorite is my Luxury Gloss in Pink Peony (on the right). I line the lips with a neutral lip liner and apply this pretty pink for the perfect wedding day pucker.

8. Olay Body Lotion plus shimmer because a bride should have an all over glow!

Apply moisturizer(If you have oily skin no need to apply moisturizer) ,then put foundation in small dots all over face and with upward movement spread it all over face. After that apply compact powder, using a sponge, just take little by little and apply it in downward direction. If you are applying kajal or eye liner do it after putting compact powder as it prevents kajal to smudge up to an extent.

Apply lip a good brand lip balm and then apply lipstick using a lipstick brush. If you like to apply lip gloss apply it over lipstick...

Prep Your Skin

Wash your face with a mild cleanser to remove makeup, oil, and dirt, then use a gentle scrub to buff off any dry patches. Or, if you have sensitive skin, skip the exfoliant and simply use a washcloth. Blot your skin dry, and spritz on a soothing rose or chamomile toner to add a dewy glow. Then, rather than slathering on a heavy moisturizer, "opt for a gel-based lotion that'll leave your face smooth and help extend the wear of your makeup," says Vanessa Scali, a makeup artist in Los Angeles.

I’ll admit it, I’m completely at a loss when it comes to doing my own makeup. Whenever I need to get dolled-up for an event, I immediately start searching online for makeup tutorials. I’ve come across everything from simple, basic tutorials… to videos that are super long and require a looong list of products. Skeptical of attempting anything that is overly involved, I usually take the simple route. But if you’re more skilled in this department (or enjoy a challenge) you may choose a tutorial that is a bit more elaborate. It completely depends on your taste in makeup and/or your talent.

Challenge your guests to find out how well they know the bride and groom by organizing a trivia game to be played at the shower.

To play this game, you'll need to prepare in advance of the day of the shower. In fact, the sooner you begin to play this game, the better, because it will give you time to gather information and prepare questions about the bride and groom.

First, prepare a list of information and fun facts that you know about the bride and groom. Assuming you're the maid-of-honor, you're most likely a close family member or friend, and should know many details about the bride. Questions can be about facts dating back to her childhood as well as recent years. Sometimes the childhood questions are the most entertaining because some guests don't have that much history with the bride or groom. In addition, small childhood embarrassments are not nearly as awkward to reveal as adult facts. If you are going to reveal potentially embarrassing information, however, think very carefully about whether the bride will be amused or upset. It's her day and this shouldn't be a roast. It should simply be a fun sharing of information.

Once you have listed all of the information you know, consult with other members of the bridal party to add additional information to your trivia questions. After that, you might want to consult with the bride and groom's parents for further information. Try not to get all of your questions from one source since that person would be the automatic winner!

The next step will be to prepare the question list you'll distribute at the shower. Make enough copies for your guests, and bring along plenty of sharp pencils. You might want to distribute the questionnaires and pencils when guests first arrive to the shower and give them a time limit for completion. Alternatively, you can pass around the questionnaire once the bride begins to open her gifts so that guests have something to do in addition to watching the bride.

Finally, once everyone has completed their questionnaire, stand in front of the room and read each question, asking the group to call out the answers. Each person can score their own, and the person with the most correct answers wins a prize.
